Texas Instruments Posts Better-Than-Expected Results, Joins Community Health Systems, Hasbro, ServiceNow, ResMed And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Thursday

U.S. stocks were higher, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining around 300 points on Thursday.

Shares of Texas Instruments Incorporated (NASDAQ:TXN) rose sharply during Thursday's session after the company reported first-quarter financial results and beat its EPS and sales estimates.

Texas Instruments reported earnings per share of $1.28, beating analysts' estimate of $1.07. In addition, the company reported sales of $4.07 billion, beating analysts' estimate of $3.91 billion and representing an 11% year-over-year growth.

The company also issued guidance for the second-quarter. It sees earnings per share from $1.21 to $1.47, versus analysts' estimate of $1.23. Furthermore, it sees sales from $4.17 billion to $4.53 billion, versus analysts' estimate of $4.13 billion.

Texas Instruments shares gained 6.3% to $161.75 on Thursday.

  • Pony AI Inc. (NASDAQ:PONY) gained 27% to $6.91 after the announcement that Hesai’s lidar sensor technology was selected for Pony’s AI robotaxis.
  • Ardagh Metal Packaging S.A. (NYSE:AMBP) rose 25.7% to $3.47 after the company reported a year-over-year increase in first-quarter adjusted EPS results and better-than-expected revenue results. Additionally, the company raised its FY25 adjusted EBITDA guidance.
  • Lufax Holding Ltd (NYSE:LU) gained 18.8% to $3.1150.
  • Impinj, Inc. (NASDAQ:PI) jumped 18% to $90.98 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and issued second-quarter guidance above estimates.
  • Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ:HAS) gained 15% to $60.60 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results.
  • ServiceNow, Inc. (NYSE:NOW) jumped 14.7% to $932.10 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results.
  • Allegion plc (NYSE:ALLE) gained 10.7% to $139.94 following a first-quarter adjusted EPS and revenue beat.
  • ResMed Inc. (NYSE:RMD) gained 10.2% to $236.36 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly adjusted EPS results. Also, Keybanc maintained an Overweight rating on the stock and raised its price target from $269 to $274.
  • Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:LSCC) gained 10% to $48.27.
  • Microchip Technology Incorporated (NASDAQ:MCHP) jumped 9.6% to $45.96.
  • CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI) gained 9.5% to $463.80 after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results and raised its FY25 guidance.
  • AST SpaceMobile, Inc. (NASDAQ:ASTS) rose 8.7% to $24.39.
  • United Rentals, Inc. (NYSE:URI) gained 8.5% to $639.25 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly sales results.
