U.S. stocks were lower, with the Dow Jones index dipping over 250 points on Friday.
Shares of Fastenal Company (NASDAQ:FAST) rose sharply during Thursday's session following better-than-expected first-quarter sales.
Fastenal on Friday reported first-quarter 2025 revenue of $1.959 billion, a 3.4% year-over-year increase and slightly above the $1.95 billion consensus estimate. Adjusting for one less selling day and the absence of Good Friday in March, net daily sales grew 5.0%.
Fastenal shares jumped 3.3% to $78.31 on Friday.

- Recursion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:RXRX) gained 28% to $5.77.
- Simulations Plus, Inc. (NASDAQ:SLP) rose 19.3% to $30.72. The stock may be moving up after the FDA stated plans to phase out animal testing requirements for monoclonal antibodies and other drugs.
- Zai Lab Limited (NASDAQ:ZLAB) gained 16.2% to $28.26.
- Absci Corporation (NASDAQ:ABSI) rose 15.2% to $2.8300.
- Schrödinger, Inc. (NASDAQ:SDGR) gained 13.6% to $21.84.
- Regencell Bioscience Holdings Limited (NASDAQ:RGC) jumped 13.55% to $32.07.
- Certara, Inc. (NASDAQ:CERT) rose 12.6% to $11.84. Baird analyst Joe Vruwink maintained Certara with a Neutral and raised the price target from $9 to $13.
- Ginkgo Bioworks Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:DNA) gained 12% to $8.18.
- BeiGene, Ltd. (NASDAQ:ONC) gained 10.6% to $230.00.
- Newsmax, Inc. (NYSE:NMAX) gained 10.6% to $28.11.
- AngloGold Ashanti plc (NYSE:AU) rose 8.5% to $42.15.
- Amarin Corporation plc (NASDAQ:AMRN) jumped 7.6% to $9.72.
