What are Green Bonds?

The Hong Kong SAR Government issues green retail bonds aimed at allowing citizens to contribute directly to greening Hong Kong and share in the benefits of sustainable development by participating in the green and sustainable finance market. The funds raised under the sustainable bond scheme will be allocated to the Capital Works Reserve Fund to finance the government's sustainable projects.
